Context
The client, FAQ YOU, a brand under The Better Health Group, aims to empower young people to take charge of their health. Their mission focuses on prevention, access, and community-driven solutions, blending medical credibility with digital culture. In this context, the brand wanted to expand its presence on Instagram by introducing more visually engaging, graphic-led content. To support this direction, I was tasked with developing a set of versatile post templates. These assets were intended to serve as a foundation for a consistent and distinctive visual presence that aligns with the brand’s progressive and youth-focused identity.
Solution
Visual elements were central to the project. I freely used existing graphics that reflect the playful, approachable tone of the brand. By pushing proportions to extremes, I introduced an abstract layer that adds tension and sophistication to the visual language, giving the content an edge that speaks to the brand’s unconventional spirit. Each graphic element was carefully selected to reflect the thematic content of the post, and in some cases, enhanced with subtle illustrations to integrate imagery more seamlessly and add surprising nuances. Patterns were also created from existing graphics, which not only add a sense of playfulness but also introduce an additional layer of visual tension. This approach is particularly valuable within the template concept, as the patterns can be quickly reused while still allowing for a wide range of variations that keep the designs versatile and engaging. This design strategy keeps even information-heavy formats visually engaging. The interplay between strong imagery and clear structure creates a sense of openness and rhythm, making content easier to absorb without overwhelming the viewer. Close-up facial expressions were used to convey emotion and relatability, while masked graphic elements added focus and variation. A diverse use of colors and shapes, anchored by consistent typography, results in visuals that feel lively yet cohesive.
Impact l Results
The visual system I developed enables the brand to communicate more clearly, confidently, and consistently across Instagram. The templates allow for diverse storytelling while preserving a strong, recognizable identity. Design principles like consistent type sizing, strategic use of color, and intelligent graphic layering contribute to a feed that feels both dynamic and refined. The close interplay of visual emotion and structure supports different content types, from informative posts to news updates to reels, while always remaining true to the brand’s core: empowering young people with accessible, relevant, and credible health content.
